That panting at 5 min got me good. Your missus putting in the solid effort for the shots!
Could of turned ya car off lol
good video, funny, got mine back together, and now i see your video, i realise mine aren't properly assembed. the springs aren't right. it's working but it's going to give me grief. back into it...
Put my Aisin hubs back in and now my CV is turning when in the free position...any ideas?
Great video you save the day thank you and God bless you
Damnit I wish I'd seen this before I spent an hour figuring it out through trial and error. But great vid anyway
Thumbs up thanks mate, had a hard time trying to find this track from local legend. Cheers for the video
Your son won’t forgot these moments mate top dad 👍
Just moved to the area. Hope to find these tracks soon. Cya out there
hey mate, im heading out that way this weekend. where is the turn off of kingaham rd? is it well signed or just a track that comes up. would appreciate any info. thanks
Hi mate. Like what your doing. I'm pretty sure the dualis doesn't have a low range. It only has a central diff lock to go from AWD to 4WD.
Correct. No Low Range in the Qashqai/Dualis. But, the CVT behaviour (if present) helps a lot in some moments
Are you planning on doing any more video on your channel
Hi mate I don't get out like I use to but I have got a few videos that I need to edit
Yeh ok was flicking through some of your videos again and was just curious is all 👍🏻
Tres bien expliquer
You could try warranty …Had a set of toyo 5 thousand Kay’s they did replace it after I jumped up and down
Can i get the lower ball joint out without removing the whole spindle?
4:40 why in low?
Hi mate great vid partner has a Captiva aswell just wondering on the mattress that fits in yours thanks
Thanks for watching. We had a single bed mattress on the bottom and a kings self inflated double bed mattress on top
Hey mate how do I find these tracks
Enjoyed your video, thanks. Would I be OK with a stock Prado?
Thanks for watching, at the time of this recording you could drive the main track no problem, but side tracks are more difficult. The tracks could have changed since the recording of this video so I'm unsure if you could drive these tracks or not now
@@outnabout08 Thanks mate. Just came back from Sundown. Did the main track no problem. Slow & steady in low range. Did not attempt the side tracks as I was also by myself. Appriciate the reply.
wow, before you submit videos perhaps some basic English may help. It is "his" not "he's" But, obviously just SEQ 4WD dopes that thing their vehicles are tough. NOT!!!
I am moving to gladstone soon And cant wait to hit the tracks , ill be using every chicken track I can though ,
Is it a 4wd drive or AWD I could never get a clear answer
Thanks for watching. 4wd as you can change between 2x4, high 4x4 and low 4x4
It's AWD and there is NO low.
Thanks for showing this. What is the part number for those locking hubs?
Love the clear no BS review from someone who obviously uses it. I'm a pretty fresh 4WDer and started off with a base Hilux + Bullbar from a dealer but have been building it up for "basic" offroading (im no hardcore offroader, just like to get out and find spots of interest). Watching all the "pro 4WDers" out there they all have the expensive high end gear which is great if you have a sponsor or a job in the mines. Just adding things like canopy, draws, roof rack and electrical with most being DIY adds up quickly and while it would be great to have the best of everything, I expect to use a winch maybe never or rarely so all I hope for is something that lasts a few years and can get you out of a spot of bother every now and then. From reviews I ahve seen where these fail it is almost always due to water ingress which I would probably be checking for every 6 months and cleaning. Could possibly seal the double lip with some sealant a bit and install a simple breather. Will consider one of these should I decide it is needed as for the most part they appear to work, just may not last 10 years if you aren't servicing it every 12 months which could be a pain depending on how hard it is to get at.
I think next time you want to travel some of you terrors should stay at home & watch info on how to be responsible 4wd drivers.
cool vid guys
we are heading out tomorrow, undecided which track from hampton centre. awesome video guys, as a newbie this is giving me the shits haha. if youd like to meet up let me know
cool video just wondering how was the beach 4w driving and me and my friends would like to go camping on the beach do you know if you can?
Great video easy to understand. I think mine might need doing. Got a knock from the front but feels more on the anti roll bar. So going to change those bushes first as they look pretty poor. Will watch this again though before I attempt it
Will I need a locker for this??
Hi Jay our vehicle was unlocked for this area
tyres wear evenly due to a good vehicle setup.. it has nothing to do with the characteristics of the rubber compound on how they wear out.
After using my dominator twice in 6 months it gave up due to a snapped bolt on the field coils . Pulling the winch apart revealed they are not water tight at all! Full of rust and have never submerged it fully . Got a new motor under warranty . The first thing I did was pull the motor apart and install a breather port so I could run a hose up to my diff breathers . And apply gasket sealant to all the gaps ! Great pulling power tho so hopefully this one survives
An excellent piece of editing!
Hey mate did you use a joint press to get the joints on or no?
From all of the videos out there I like yours the best. Thank you guys
Thanks for the video, doing the Coach Road this weekend ... 13-14 November 2021
Plus 🏕 camping
Good old times i loved being in these videos and the sleep
Is that a petrol or desiel rodeo
So dumb question. If you just leave them in the locked position for daily use would that be the same as the factory auto hubs?
Nope as with auto hubs they engage when you put the truck in 4wd
Got a question for you, do you think it would be worth getting it lifted?
I've never seen a lifted dualis, so why not stand out from the crowd
@@outnabout08 FYI, mine is lifted (spacers on suspensions and AT Tyres)
must be your Tire pressure? You set max PSI on it it will crack or bloated.
*Just purchased a Factory Certified 2016 Toyota Avalon Hybrid with 31,000 miles on it🚘🚖 **allabout.wiki/Achilles** The original tires were Michelin Primacy MXV4's. They cost $195.00 and were on back-order from Tire Rack. I drove the car with the Michelin's for 2000 miles and knew that I needed to replace them now because the wet traction was terrible at 33000 miles. Thank You Amazon, got these Milestar MS932 Sport All Season Radial Tire - 215/55R17 98V at $65.00 per tire and they were drop shipped and installed at a nearby Sears in under one hour. On My initial drive home, on all kinds of road surfaces, and at 2mile straight road segment that allowed me to drive in sports mode I hit 150 mph and it stuck like glue to the road. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and I will find out about wet traction, which I am most concerned about. But dry traction with these tires allows me to fly like a bat escaping Hell, there is almost nothing on the road that can keep up, even the motorcycles are left in the dust.*
How many klm’s on your truck when this was done? Still got it ?!
Yea I still have the old girl and she has about 210km now so at the time of this video she had probably 170km
@@outnabout08 Hang in there mate! I also have a 4JJ1 07 Rodeo 4x4 and she's going to tick over 300k this week. I've been contemplating whether to update and several mechanics have told me to spend a little bit on maintenance and hold on to her. The newer equivalent replacement vehicles are nowhere near as good! (according to them). So I'm about to do front and rear shocks, rear springs, sway bar bushes and front upper ball joints. Thanks heaps for the helpful video!! Keep encouraging your kid mate. There's a desperate shortage of good mechanics and he seems dead keen!
I always put a rag over the circlip, stops it flying away.
Lucky you have fishing rod holders on your car.
How long did it take you all up do you reckon?
Thanks mate this really helped as I’m looking at getting one atm .. you can do so much more with a winch go more places and have that peace of mind that if u get stuck u can get yourself out 👌 glad to see it can last a few years if u look after it .. thanks for doing a good quick review..
All good mate👍 Thanks for watching
Hey mate, any chance you could share on how to find this track. Looks epic
Thanks for watching
I’m over in Gladstone all the time if your keen for a wheel
Why are you driving on wet tracks - selfish and Irresponsible!
